Our first wedding of the month happened on Saturday! Before I get into everything, I want to apologize for being a space cadet because I forgot to bring my camera to the wedding! Therefore we don’t have any beautiful pictures to share with you 😦 I am so mad too, because I seem to always forget my camera when we have cool events! So here is my promise to all of you Y. Lo fans out there: from here on out, I will bring my camera, take lots of pictures, and show you what we really are all about!
Enough about that, the wedding was so much fun! It was for a really great couple and I must say, the bride looked amazing that night! I know they are in Hawaii now, and for that I am jealous, but I hope they have a great time because they deserve it!
The planning started in March for their wedding. They had it at 910 Arts on Sante Fe Drive. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the space, it is great and they always have such cool artwork up, it adds beauty to any event! Plus the people who work there are wonderful! The wedding was done in beautiful corals and blues. Everything was set up perfectly and looked great!
For the menu we prepared Caramel Walnut Baked Brie En Croute with Crackers, and Toast Points, and Imported and Domestic Cheese Display with Berries. This was for after the ceremony when they did the champagne toast (and when we scrambled together to transform the room for the reception).
We then served Sweet Teriyaki Beef Tenderloin Skewers, Chicken and Vegetable Potstickers Served with Sesame Soy Dipping Sauce, Sundried Tomato and Artichoke Pesto Wontons, Sliced Chorizo and Mini Meatballs Served in a Spicy Homemade Tomato Sauce, Garlic Shrimp Skewers Served with Tangy Cocktail Sauce, Hot Blue Crab and Artichoke Dip Served with Toasted Buttered Crostini, and last but not least, Creamy Herbed Boursin Cheese Stuffed Button Mushrooms.
PLUS we had our executive chef handle a Crepe Station! We served Homemade Crepes made to order with Fresh Ingredients (Ham, Shredded Chicken, Cheddar Cheese, Sautéed Spinach, Mushroom, Nutella Spread, Strawberry, Banana and Powdered Sugar) YUM!
At the end of the evening the groom came up to us and said he had so many compliments on the food, including this one, “you know I have been to a lot of weddings, but I have never had food this good!” So I guess we did our job right! Everything went smoothly, the food was enjoyed, the guests were happy, and although it was a late night for us, we were happy too!
Thanks for staying tuned into the crazy lives of caterers, until next time!
